They say revenge is a dish best served cold. If you complain direct to the bus driver, it is likely that you are still angry or upset and you won’t have had time to reflect on the matter. While it sounds like the bleeding obvious, it actually pays to complain later and higher up the chain and resist the temptation of a potentially humiliating public demonstration.
Relbus Membership Update
It is about 1 year since Relbus formally constituted, and we have had some successes. As well as a round of local public meetings around the county we’ve met up with Firstbus representatives, Iain Gray MSP, and a number of Local and Community Councillors. We are grateful for the latter’s continued support. We also got a few mentions in the press, which is good.
All this is in no small part down the the hard work of the committee, working quietly behind the scenes. In particular we should thank Hassan Syed who left us in the Autumn to take up a full time job in Banbury.
RAGES RAG Newsletter
RAGES are a membership organisation representing the interests of rail users in East Lothian and the Berwickshire area of Scottish Borders.
Their campaign for a station in Reston and East Linton is showing some signs of success, and they have their sights on a branch line to Haddington being reopened.
They also campaign for improved timetabling and service quality on existing services.
Membership is only £4 a year. A snip.
Here’s a copy of RAGES RAG Issue 52 A4.
